Position Summary: The Texas Screwworm Eradication (TSE) First Officer reports to the Base Manager and is responsible to provide safe and professional operation in Beechcraft King Air 90 aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all duties and responsibilities of the second in command (SIC)
Be familiar with destination, alternate airports, actual and forecasted meteorological conditions, fuel and oil requirements, navigation and radio aids, and applicable NOTAMs
Encourage a strong aviation safety culture and comply with the company’s safety management system
Ensure Base Manager is informed of the customer, aircraft, weather, or other potential issues that may compromise mission accomplishment
Proactively perform all assigned preflight, postflight, and reporting responsibilities
Operate fly dispersal equipment during flights and clean fly dispersal equipment following flights
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma
FAA Commercial multi-engine pilot certificate with instrument rating
FAA First or Second Class Medical
Minimum of 250 hours total time
Ability to work as an effective team member through all facets of ground and flight operations
Teachable, self-motivated, and hard-working
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be able to learn and effectively use various computer programs for time/record keeping and travel/expense reporting
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 500 hours total time
Relevant college degree preferred
Be fluent in Spanish
Additional Requirements
Relocation to the Edinburg, TX area
Ability to lift, balance, and carry 75 lbs.
