About the Role:
As a DHC6 Captain, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the DHC6 aircraft, ensuring that all flights are conducted in compliance with aviation regulations and company policies. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional service to passengers while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. You will be tasked with pre-flight planning, including route selection, weather assessment, and fuel management, to ensure optimal flight performance. Additionally, you will lead a team of crew members, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes safety and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, your role is crucial in delivering a reliable and enjoyable travel experience for our clients in the beautiful St. Croix region.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license with DHC6 type rating.
Minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time, including 500 hours of multi-engine time.
Current medical certificate issued by an authorized aviation medical examiner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience flying in the Caribbean region or similar environments.
Previous experience in a leadership role within an aviation context.
Knowledge of seaplane operations and associated regulations.
Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure the aircraft is in optimal condition for flight.
Plan and execute flight routes, taking into account weather conditions and air traffic regulations.
Communicate effectively with air traffic control and ground personnel to ensure smooth operations.
Lead and manage the cabin crew to ensure passenger safety and comfort during flights.
Complete post-flight documentation and reports, including any incidents or irregularities.
