This job is a member of the Flight Administration Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
Responsible for leading, supporting and coordinating the overall administrative support for cockpit crew members.
Provides superior customer assistance to front line pilots, Flight department leaders and the administrative network to support reliable Flight Operations.
Provides positive, in person oversight and direction for the administrative activities in the office to support pilots
Maintains confidentiality of office communications, including conversations and employee records
Manages and develops the Flight Administrative team members through mentoring, coaching, training and sharing your knowledge and best practices
Supports the Flight Administration network by providing expertise and coverage across the system when called upon
Provides pilots with current information about retirement, leaves of absence, medical disability, and injury on duty reports
Facilitates crew members retirements including pension estimates and travel arrangements
Monitors and approves cockpit crew member expense reimbursements
Understanding of policies, procedures, agreements, and budgeting function
Ability to understand and apply provisions of union agreements and company/federal regulations including California disability and sick programs
Support and assist the Flight department leadership team with ad hoc projects including investigations/implementation of policies and procedures/research gathering to answer or resolve pilot issues
Fosters positive working relationships with Flight Service, Customer Experience and airport vendors to support initiatives
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's of Arts degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
5 years related experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Masters' degree in Business, Aviation Management, Human Resources or related field
Human resource and/or Flight Department/Flight Service experience with crew members
Crew Scheduling/Crew Planning/Flight department or Flight Service experience
PHR/SPHR/CEBS certification
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Ability to quickly learn the tools and applications used in the Flight department including PBS, FOS, SABRE, DECS, Concus, CERS, CAATS, Pilot Dashboard, SharePoint, Employee Central, WorkBrain and aapilots.com
Ability to work under pressure and with multiple deadlines

Ability to work with all levels of management and representatives from the Allied Pilots Association
Ability to pass FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
