Operations require pilots to be involved in all aspects of the mission, including flight planning, aircraft handling, logistical coordination, and post-flight responsibilities. As part of ongoing expansion, [Company] is adding additional airplanes to support customer needs and mission capabilities. The company maintains standardized procedures, company-provided Part 135 training, and active operational control to support day-to-day charter, cargo, and specialty operations.
Role Description
[Company] is seeking a qualified, safety-driven Beechcraft Baron 58 Pilot in Command (PIC) to support our FAA Part 135 on-demand charter operations. This role requires strong instrument proficiency, sound aeronautical decision-making, and a professional, hands-on approach to all operational aspects of charter flying and will be based in Valparaiso, Indiana (KVPZ).
Qualifications
FAA ATP or Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Land rating
Current FAA First-Class or Second-Class Medical
Instrument current in accordance with 14 CFR §61.57 (required)
Meets Part 135 PIC requirements under 14 CFR §135.243
Minimum flight time:
1,200 hours total time
500 hours cross-country
100 hours night
75 hours instrument (actual or simulated)
Valid U.S. passport or passport and authorization to work in the United States
Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing and required background checks, including PRIA.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate rental and company vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Part 135 PIC experience
Beechcraft Baron 58 time
Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII)
Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)
Strong IFR decision-making skills in varied weather and operational environments
Familiarity with on-demand charter and operational control procedures
Schedule and Work Environment
On-demand Part 135 schedule, including weekends, holidays, and variable duty days
Mix of day trips, overnight trips, and short-notice assignments
