Sun Country Flight Attendants ensure safety and security standards are met while promoting high levels of customer service.
Monthly guarantee of 72.5 flight hours at $21.53 rate of pay.
Sun Country Flight Attendants are represented by International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
The compensation schedule is based on the collective bargaining agreement.
Uniforms – Flight Attendants are responsible for the purchase of their first uniform and luggage, approximately $700-$1000, which may be payroll deducted once employed by the Company.
Relocation – Relocation costs are solely the responsibility of the Flight Attendant.
Work Schedule: [Company] is a scheduled passenger airline that operates 365 days a year. As a Flight Attendant you will be assigned to various shifts which will include weekends, evenings, holidays and “red eye” type hours. Shifts are bid monthly and are awarded based on seniority. As a “reserve” (on call) Flight Attendant, you must be able to be at the airport in as little as 2 hours after being notified of an assignment. As a “reserve” (on call) Flight Attendant, you will be scheduled with 10 days off per month, the other days you will be on call and must be immediately available by phone. As a line holding Flight Attendant, you will be scheduled with a minimum of 13 days off per month.
Flight Attendant Training Class:
The Training Class is approximately 5 weeks, onsite, at our training facility in Minneapolis, MN. Travel and lodging accommodations during training are not provided by [Company]. To become a Flight Attendant, you must successfully complete the training. While this is an unpaid training class, at the successful completion of the class, a $1,000 learning stipend will be paid out.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Ensure safety, security, and comfort of our customers
Ensure compliance with mandated Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations
Follow all Federal Aviation Regulations as required and [Company] policies
Conduct preflight safety check of cabin and emergency equipment
Respond effectively during emergency situations
Responsible for the sale of onboard liquor, food, and other amenities
Prepare and serve meals and beverages according to service standards
Respond to customer illness and injury and administer first aid
Diffuse situations with unruly or upset customers and maintain order in the cabin
Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by [Company]
Any other duties assigned by management
Required Qualifications:
Must have a passport prior to start of training with at least 6 months validity. Ability to travel in and out of the USA and Canada, as well as cities/countries served by [Company]
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years direct customer service experience
Basic Computer Knowledge
Ability to read, write, understand, and clearly speak in English
Must be 20 years or older at the end of initial training
Must be able to reach 80 vertical inches, without shoes, to operate all necessary equipment and systems
Must be able to kneel to operate the mechanism of the aircraft door and perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
Work independently, yet work well with others as part of a team
Excellent dependability and strong work ethic
Ability to remain calm and respond to emergency situations including aircraft evacuations, in-flight fires, bomb threats, unusual situations, and turbulence
Able to manage emergencies and care for passengers under duress
Constant alertness and ability to act in emergency situations
Able to endure repetitive variances in altitude and cabin pressure
Ability to relocate to within 2 hours of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) while on “reserve” (on call) status
Able to be away from home for up to six (6) nights in a row
Ability to work “reserve” (on call) status for extended period
Fully fit into FA jump seats and secure the seat belt/shoulder harness assembly without modification in any manner to achieve closure
Have enough vision to safely perform the essential functions of the position
Have enough hearing acuity to communicate with co-workers and passengers
Able to meet the demands of a vigorous and varied schedule
Stamina appropriate to the duty requirements
Must present a neat and professional appearance including adhering to [Company] uniform and appearance standards. No visible tattoos and body piercings.
