Director of Maintenance

A well-established Part 135 operator is seeking a highly experienced and strategic aviation maintenance leader to serve as Deputy Director of Maintenance (DDOM) for its Western U.S. operation.
This critical leadership role functions as the primary second-in-command to the Director of Maintenance (DOM), providing oversight of a dynamic fleet, including:
• Embraer 135
• Legacy 600
• Gulfstream IV-SP
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Provide direct leadership and daily oversight of maintenance technicians, controllers, planners, and inventory teams
✔ Ensure fleet readiness, safety, and reliability in a fast-paced Part 135 environment
✔ Serve as liaison with the FAA, ensuring regulatory compliance and audit readiness
✔ Assume full DOM responsibilities in their absence
✔ Optimize maintenance planning and parts inventory systems
✔ Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence
Qualifications:
• Extensive Part 135 maintenance experience (required)
• Strong Gulfstream (G-IV series) expertise
• Experience with Embraer 135 / Legacy platforms
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (IA preferred)
• Demonstrated leadership within an AOC structure
• Strong FAA regulatory and audit experience
• Ability to operate in a high-tempo environment
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
