Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance responsible for managing all aspects of the Part 135 Maintenance Department ensuring adherence to regulatory, procedural, safety and quality compliance.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsible for the conduct of safe maintenance operations in compliance with all applicable local, State, and Federal regulations and company procedures and assures that all aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition.
Implements effective aircraft maintenance, inspection and repair programs in accordance with Federal Air Regulations, company manuals, and manufacturers’ recommendations.
Implements, manages and maintains the Approved Aircraft Inspection Program, Minimum Equipment List Program, General Maintenance Manual, and Maintenance Training Program.
Responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance records conform to FAA standards.
Through established procedures, ensures the flight operations department is provided with a current status of all aircraft on a continual basis.
Oversee the management of aircraft parts procurement and inventory.
Evaluates the training and testing of the team; proposes training needs as appropriate.
The Must-Haves
Ability to meet the requirements of 14 CFR Part 119.71 or can receive a waiver from the FAA to serve in this position.
Minimum 5 years of experience in maintaining aircraft with verifiable practical experience as an active aircraft mechanic in a maintenance organization.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory position in a maintenance organization.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Part 135 environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
Demonstrated ability to build continuous improvement culture across the operations
Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and positively motivate others
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Drug Free Workplace Drug Testing Program participation
Must have a thorough working knowledge and understanding of FARs, aircraft technical bulletins, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, aircraft systems and the ability to communicate this knowledge to the required persons.
FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certification or license (A&P)
FAA Inspection Authorization (IA), to be acquired prior to employment
Valid driver’s license

Blue Tuna FAA Part 145 Training
Aery Quality/Technical Training
Additional Position Requirements:
Occasionally required to lift and/or move bulky items more than 50 pounds.
Requires a broad and comprehensive knowledge of Engineering, Aircraft Modification and FAA Certification / Supplemental Type Certification processes.
Experience with interfacing and maintaining effective relationships with senior level customer personnel.
