The In-Flight Technician role is a dual-function position, combining responsibilities as both a maintenance technician and an in-flight cabin service coordinator. You will work closely with one other In-Flight Technician and the Account DOM to support Global 7500 and Global 5000 operations.
Position: In-Flight Technician
Aircraft: Global 7500 & Global 5000
Position Type: Full-time only; no contract
Location: Hillsboro, OR (KHIO)
Operation: 91/135 (internal); approximately 350 to 400 hours annually
Compensation/Benefits: $170,000 - $200,000; fully paid medical/healthcare premium.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and alterations in compliance with FAA, OSHA, and company standards.
Maintain proficiency with tools, techniques, and acceptable practices.
Accurately document all work, technical references, and parts usage.
Verify tool calibration and ensure proper material receipt before installation.
Conduct pre- and post-flight inspections to confirm aircraft readiness.
Provide light in-flight service and coordinate with crew to ensure passenger comfort.
Help stage, prepare, and maintain the aircraft: stock amenities, refresh inventory, and ensure cleanliness.
Organize and oversee ground staff tasks as needed.
Travel frequently, including domestic and international trips, with extended stays as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position-Specific Skills
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills (including AOG experience).
Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to changing schedules, remote environments, and high-pressure situations.
Strong teamwork, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with FAA regulations and compliance standards.
Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel Expectations
Up to 50% travel, including weekends and extended overnight stays.
Domestic and international assignments.
Valid passport (and other required travel documentation).
Required Education and Experience
Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
Minimum of 2 years performing A&P technician duties, with proven ability to support maintenance on the road.
Prior AOG maintenance experience required
Preferred Experience
Experience on the Bombardier Global platform
Large Cabin In-flight service experience preferred.
