Your New Role...
The Primary responsibility of the Flight Attendant is the safe and secure conduct of all assigned flights while providing a high level of service and comfort. The Flight Attendant reports functionally to the PIC during the assigned flight and administratively to the Flight Attendant Manager on other matters.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Pre-Flight Preparation:
Review the flight itinerary and passenger profiles
Confirm catering and any special requests from passengers
Pre-departure menu coordination with passengers/assistants and/or scheduling department
Meal preparation, order catering, prepare menus, check and stow catering
Shop for any/all items’ passengers have requested
Ensure that the cabin is clean, stocked, and properly equipped
Conduct pre and post flight aircraft procedures and checklists ensuring all safety, galley, electronics and cabin equipment is ready for flight
Maintain operational knowledge of galley located controls, cabin safety and audio/visual systems and cabin lighting systems for all aircraft flown
Conduct safety demonstration and ensure compliance with FOM
Participate in pre-flight safety briefings, meetings and international coordination calls
In-Flight Service:
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing passengers' needs promptly
Serve food and beverages, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met for both passengers and crew
Maintain a clean and tidy aircraft at all times including lavatories
Monitor television and Wi-Fi systems and troubleshoot as necessary
Safety Responsibilities:
Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, including how to operate safety equipment. Be prepared to handle emergencies, including medical situations and know the proper procedures for various scenarios
Maintains the aircraft cabin, baggage, and galley area in an orderly, safe, and secure fashion
Ensure all safety protocols are followed during takeoff, landing, and in-flight
Participate in the Safety Management System and Security Program
Administer first aid including AED/CPR/DAK with the assistance of inflight medical service providers, when necessary
Ensure food safety and hygiene and participate in bi-annual food safety course
Communication:
Facilitate communication between passengers, crew members and administrators of the Flight Department
Update passengers on flight status and other relevant information
Participate in company meetings and training as necessary
Post-Flight Duties:
Inspect, clean and stock the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after every leg and at base
Ensure aircraft is prepared for pop-up flights
Provide feedback to the flight crew and management about the flight and passenger experiences
Advise PIC and Maintenance team of any cabin discrepancies
Additional Responsibilities:
Responsible to the Captain and Flight Attendant Manager for all assigned inflight duties, adherence to the SOP/FOM and proper use of Crew Resource Management procedures
Manage aircraft supply lockers and ensure inventory is complete on all aircraft and at base
Complete weekly (or more frequently based on business need) plane and hangar stock checks including monitoring the expiration dates of perishable goods. Order and shop for stock and supplies as needed
Manage dry-cleaning and laundry of linens at the hangar and with vendors
Assumes any duties delegated by the Chief Pilot, PIC, Flight Attendant Manager, or the Head of Flight Operations
Maintain a confidential environment of passenger information and travel movements
Qualifications & Experience...
Minimum 2 years corporate flight attendant experience
Possess an Associate’s degree or higher (highly desirable)
Preference given to applicants with current FACTS/Flight Safety corporate flight attendant training
Aviation specific first aid training certification from MedAire or similar
AED/CPR qualified
Food Safety Certified
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ideal candidate will be a team player that is flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities to provide a superior level of service
Must be technologically savvy
Able to manage a constantly changing schedule and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Available to fly on short notice (must be able to report to hangar within 3 hours if on standby day)
Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in aviation
Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively
Possesses knowledge of culinary arts, food, wine, and menu planning to accommodate first class service to corporate passengers
Attention to detail
Adaptability/Flexibility and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational abilities
Note: This is a non-commutable position, and the applicant must live within 1.5 hours of the Burbank (BUR) airport.
