As a Signature crew member, the First Officer supports the Captain(s) in operating a dedicated Signature Account for Planet 9. This role emphasizes long-term familiarity, consistency, and seamless service delivery within a known Signature account operating primarily under Part 135 with light Part 91. The First Officer plays an essential role in upholding safety standards, supporting the Captain(s) and maintaining continuity and professionalism on each flight. As part of a dedicated crew, the First Officer is expected to maintain operational readiness and responsiveness, while receiving scheduled, guaranteed time off each quarter.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as Second-in-Command for a Signature Account under Part 91 and Part 135 operations
Assist in planning and executing all flights safely and efficiently, adhering to all regulatory and procedural requirements
Maintain ongoing familiarity with client expectations, aircraft configuration, and trip preferences
Actively participate in CRM, preflight, inflight, and post-flight activities as a
collaborative team member
Support aircraft readiness and presentation, ensuring all standards are met or exceeded for every flight
Provide courteous, professional, and discreet service during all stages of client interaction
Contribute to a consistent crew dynamic that fosters trust, safety, and operational excellence
Adhere to Planet 9’s operational policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards by completing required training and maintaining compliance across all assigned duties
Adapt to evolving priorities by performing additional tasks or projects as needed to support team and organizational goals while aligning with the evolving needs of the Signature account
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
FAA ATP Certificate
FAA First Class Medical Certificate
BD-700 – Preferred
Valid passport and ability to travel unrestricted internationally
Must pass DOT/FAA drug screening, TSA background check, and meet Wyvern Wingman standards
Completed COVID-19 vaccination required prior to training

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
College degree preferred
Part 91 or Part. 135 experience preferred
Completion and maintenance of all Planet 9 training requirements in accordance with FAA Part 135 regulations
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to maintain a valid First Class FAA Medical Certificate
Travel Requirements:
Extensive international travel required
