Job Description:
Captain operates the aircraft Gulfstream 550 in a Part 91 operation. The position will serve to insure the airworthiness and safe operation of the aircraft.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
The Pilot-in-Command ensures the flight is conducted in accordance with the policies and procedures of [Company] General Operations Manual and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. He/She directs the activities of the Second-in-Command and Cabin Attendant to ensure that all crew members understand fully and completely job duties and expectations. The PIC participates in the Safety Management System and assumes additional duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Reside or be willing to relocate to Southern California within 2 hours of VNY
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aviation flight operations including international experience
Holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating and type rated in the G450/G550 aircraft
Possess a First-Class FAA Medical Certificate
Has at minimum 4,000 hours flight time, 3,000 hours PIC, and 2,000 hours in jet aircraft and 500 hours minimum in a G450/G550 aircraft
Recent experience with North Atlantic Flight Operations including CPDLC usage for Gulfstream 550
International Procedures within 24-month currency
Valid passport with no restrictions
Valid driver’s license
No FAA violations or enforcements
English proficient
Must be able to handle job duties with discretion and sensitivity to company and client information
Must be service orientated with a neat well-groomed appearance
Strong organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking abilities
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds over their heads
Must be able to work varying hours including day and night, weekday, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to pass a background check
