Aviation Maintenance Controller – Part 135
[Company] is a privately held 14 CFR Part 135 operator with maintenance and operational
bases in Farmingdale, NY and Nashville, TN. We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Controller to
support continued fleet growth while maintaining strict compliance with company manuals and FAA
regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Exercise operational control over aircraft maintenance status, including real-time coordination with Flight Operations and Maintenance.
Evaluate reported aircraft discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions in accordance with the GMM, MEL, CDL, and FARs.
Communicate directly with flight crews to obtain accurate discrepancy details required for effective troubleshooting and repair.
Plan, schedule, and track all scheduled maintenance events using the computerized maintenance tracking system in accordance with approved inspection programs.
Verify, audit, and record return-to-service documentation and update maintenance tracking software accordingly.
Maintain real-time fleet status within Flight Operations Software (FOS).
Coordinate mechanical delays to ensure safe, compliant, and expeditious return to service.
Control and track all Deferred Maintenance Items (DMI), including MEL and CDL deferrals.
Ensure deferrals are applied, extended, and cleared in full compliance with company manuals and regulatory requirements.
Serve as the primary maintenance point of contact for aircraft operating away from main maintenance bases.
Issue, track, and close scheduled and unscheduled Maintenance Authorization Forms.
Coordinate maintenance vendors, technicians, and internal resources as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P;) certificate or AMT
Turbine aircraft maintenance experience required
Prior Part 135 maintenance control experience preferred
Strong technical decision-making and documentation skills
Ability to manage concurrent maintenance events across multiple aircraft
Availability for non-traditional schedules, including nights, weekends, and on-call coverage
Citation and/or Challenger aircraft experience preferred
Schedule of M-F 3:30PM- 11:30PM CST
