We pay $175,796.73 + 12% super for Captains in your first year, plus generous allowances.
Do Work That Matters
[Company] is seeking experienced Captains to join our life-saving Search and Rescue (SAR) fleet. Based in Perth, Melbourne or Cairns, you’ll command Challenger 604 jets under contract with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA). From offshore rescues to emergency response and humanitarian aid, your leadership will directly contribute to saving lives across Australia’s vast SAR region.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Captain in our CL604 fleet, you will:
Command SAR missions in dynamic, time-critical environments
Lead and mentor your crew to maintain the highest standards of safety and professionalism
Operate advanced mission systems with precision and confidence
Oversee aircraft readiness and mission planning
Contribute to ongoing innovation in SAR capability
What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR restrictions apply)
Australian ATPL(A) and MEA Instrument Rating
CASA Class 1 Medical
Eligibility for an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC)
Minimum 3000 hours total flying time, including:
1500 hours multi-engine
1000 hours command
Jet experience highly regarded
Ability to reside within 30 minutes of your assigned base when on night standby
