The Aviation Institute at the [Company] (UNO) seeks applicants for a Instructor position. A successful candidate or this position will be able to teach courses in our Bachelor of Science in Aviation major as well as courses related to one of our three concentrations, Professional Flight, Air Transport Administration, and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems. Potential courses may include, but are not limited to, Introduction to Aviation and Aerospace, Introduction to Airports, Airline Operations, Private, Instrument, or Commercial Ground Theory, Meteorology, Data Analytics, Airport Master Planning, and General Aviation Operations. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to teach in higher education and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
The Aviation Institute is in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska. It is a nationally recognized aviation program housed in the School of Public Administration, which provides supportive and collaborative academic culture. The Institute offers a Bachelor of Science in Aviation with
concentrates in Air Transport Administration, Professional Flight, and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems. Required Qualifications Master’s Degree in Aviation, Transportation, Business Administration, Public Administration, Education or related field.
Preferred Qualifications Hold or be able to obtain a CFI, CFII, BGI, IGI, or AGI certificate from the FAA to support instruction in Ground Theory Courses.
Remote Pilot Certificate
Experience in any of the following areas: pilot (commercial, general aviation, or military), dispatch, maintenance, management, airport operations, air traffic control, or other related areas.
