Pilots company aircraft and serves as pilot-in-command and final authority in operation of the aircraft to ensure safety and compliance.
Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned by the chief pilot.
Pilots company aircraft. Prepares flight plans and complies with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operation. Makes decisions necessary to start, delay or cancel the flight or deviate from the planned route or destination as operating conditions dictate.
Maintains flight records for aircraft. Reviews, calculates and studies the aircraft and flight logistics, including weight and balance, fuel on board, performance charts, weather conditions at destination, end route, alternate airports, and departure points.
Supervises the copilot (first officer) in necessary duties. Coordinates with all aircrew members on necessary duties.
