[Company]. is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Chief Pilot. Chief Pilot is responsible for the performance of assigned flight crews to ensure flight operational safety and compliance with company policies and FAA regulations. The Chief Pilot shall maintain currency as a line Captain and Instructor on the DHC-6 Twin Otter.
Responsibilities
Maintains currency and flight proficiency as PIC in the DHC-6
Conducts pilot interviewing, hiring, counseling, and termination
Maintains currency and proficiency as company primary instructor
Develops and maintains flight standards policies and procedures
Exercises adequate oversight to ensure flight crew compliance with flight standards policies and procedures
Communicates with FAA representatives
Assists Director of Operations in crew selection and pairing for flight schedules
Reports to the Director of Operations
Manages the pilot group including all training
Must be knowledgable of FARs, Operational Manuals, and Operation Specifications
Prepares and maintains pilot proficiency records
Communicates with government agencies and other contractors for specific flight planning and logistic requirements
Assists pilots with flight planning and deployment logistics for CONUS and OCONUS operations
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
ATP MEL
CFI/CFII/MEI
Valid First Class Medical
4000 hours Total Time
1000 hours Multi-engine
500 hours Turboprop
Prior US contractor or military experience is preferred
Previous experience as Chief Pilot or related air carrier management experience
US citizen
US passport
Ability to be available to work or be on call beyond normal office hours
Willing and able to obtain a US security clearance
Willing and able to travel CONUS and OCONUS
Must not have any FAA violations, suspensions or any criminal history
Office environment requiring the ability to sit and work at computer for extended periods of time
Physical lifting of 50lbs
