Ministry Pilot, Uganda
[Company] is seeking a Ministry Pilot to serve with our Mission Aviation Services team in Entebbe, Uganda. In East and Central Africa, where roads are often poor or non-existent, aviation is frequently the safest and most effective way to reach critical locations. As a fixed-wing Ministry Pilot, you will provide safe, reliable air transportation in support of Samaritans Purse programs across East Africa. Pilots may operate multiple aircraft types, and base locations may change as operational needs require. Come use your aviation skills to help advance the Gospel.
A day in the life of a Ministry Pilot:

In the role of Ministry Pilot, you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
Perform pilot duties, including filing flight plans, obtaining weather data and interpreting the information for flights, completing aircraft weight and balances for flights, and loading/unloading passenger luggage and cargo.
Maintain all aircraft charts and keep software updated.
Ensure aircraft is clean, neat, and polished when both at and away from base, including sanitizing the aircraft restroom facilities after each flight.
Assist in the maintenance, repair and cleaning of the hangar and the property.
Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks to ensure safety.
Work with FAA as assigned.
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two (2) to four (4) years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 1,200 hours of flight time required
First Class Medical required.
FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate Airplane Single/Multi Engine Land with Instrument Rating required.
FAA A&P Certification preferred, but not required.
12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
