West Michigan Flight Academy is seeking a motivated and professional Flight Instructor to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to work in a structured training environment that emphasizes professionalism, standardization, and producing safe, confident pilots.
Our instructors play a key role in shaping the next generation of aviators through one-on-one flight instruction, ground training, and mentorship. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, maintain high standards, and are passionate about aviation education.
Responsibilities
* Provide flight and ground instruction in accordance with FAA regulations and WMFA training standards.
* Guide students through Private, Instrument, Commercial, and advanced training programs.
* Maintain accurate student records and training documentation.
* Prepare students for FAA knowledge tests, practical tests, and real-world aviation operations.
* Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
* Participate in academy events, outreach programs, and aviation education initiatives.
Qualifications
* FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) required.
* CFII preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Professional appearance and attitude.
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture.
