The [Company] is seeking a strategic and community-focused Airport Manager to lead operations and development at Joslin Field - Magic Valley Regional Airport. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safety, compliance, and growth while serving as the primary spokesperson for the airport.
Provide professional leadership and direction for all airport operations and development
Plan and manage short- and long-term airport needs, including capital improvement projects, grant funding, and tenant leases
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FAA standards
Oversee annual inspections, safety programs, emergency drills, and disaster response planning
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate airport staff
Coordinate construction projects, safety initiatives, and communications with tenants, agencies, and contractors
Develop policies, budgets, and marketing strategies for City Council approval
Serve as the spokesperson for airport-related activities and respond to community inquiries
High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree in Airport Management, Business, or related field
At least five (5) years of airport experience, including three (3) years in a supervisory role
Knowledge of aviation management, FAA regulations, airport planning, budgeting, and marketing
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to build effective partnerships
Ability to lead staff, make sound decisions under pressure, and demonstrate professionalism and integrity
