The person hired for the position of Flight Attendant will be a service-oriented professional who love to be on the go, help others, and enjoy variety in their work. The Flight Attendant will assist in helping others get where they\'re going, solving problems and going the extra mile to leave our passengers with a positive experience that lasts long after their flights have landed.
The person hired for the position of Flight Attendant will be responsible to the Pilot-in-Command to carry out specified safety duties in the event of an onboard emergency. Additional duties include: provide for passenger and crew safety, ensuring cabin cleanliness, provide food and beverage service to passengers and crew, and order catering as required.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Provide for the safety of passengers and crew and comply with aviation rules and regulations.
Manage catering requirements prior to trips.
Conduct preflight safety checks of applicable aircraft equipment.
Assist in baggage handling as required.
Greet passengers and provide information, guidance and assistance as required.
Monitor and secure the cabin as appropriate for all phases of flight.
Prepare and serve meals and beverages to passengers and crew.
Provide for the safe evacuation of persons on board in emergency situations.
Provide medical assistance to persons on board as trained, if needed.
Submit reports concerning flight incidents as applicable.
Other duties as assigned by the Pilot-In-Command or Supervisor.
This position will require:
The ability to be on-call 24/7
Working a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
The ability to work in a physically demanding role which requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching and lifting (i.e. lifting and opening emergency aircraft doors)
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a flight attendant in a private, public, government or military environment
Possess a current and valid passport with the ability to travel unrestricted in and out of the United States
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) years of full-time flight attendant experience preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a personalized customer service, or similar role
Proven working experience as flight attendant or customer service experience
Experience in a role ensuring the safety and/or care of others
Fluency in English, multilingual is preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills
Possess a sense of urgency, and ability to work under pressure
Cabin crew certification or training
Location: St. Paul, MN
Travel: May include up to 75% domestic/international
