Cigna, a Fortune 100 company, is seeking a qualified pilot to join our aviation team. We are headquartered out of Bradley International Airport (KBDL), and are an IS-BAO Stage III registered operator that uses our SMS and C-FOQA data to steer policy and procedure. We operate two state of-the-art Dassault Falcon long range aircraft, both domestically and international on flexible yet not volatile schedule.

Responsibilities include:
Carry out pre-flight checks of aircraft systems and making sure the aircraft certificates and other paperwork is up to date.
Complying with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft operations.
Provide customer service and safety to all Cigna executives, employees, and guests.
Maintain full knowledge of company Standard Operating Procedures and FAA regulations.
Brief all crew members prior to each phase of flight in accordance with Cigna policies.
Maintain proficiency/currency/recent flight experience of all required licenses.
Maintain increasing level of aviation knowledge and proficiency commensurate with experience.
Complete all assigned ancillary duties and reports assigned by the Chief Pilot.
Making decisions as necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate.
Studying weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points and preparing flight plans for domestic and international trips.
Maintain a PRIMARY living residence within one hour of Bradley International Airport (KBDL), to facilitate:
Short commutes
Early morning show times ~ wake-up time
Late evening arrivals ~ driving home late night
Back to back trips ~ ensure a productive sleep period between trips
Scheduled occasional duty-crew assignments ~ ability to launch in 3 hours if pre-advised of likely flight requirement
2017 average annual quality of life statistical data:
250 flight hours per pilot
50 RONs per pilot
8 weekend duty days per pilot
Loss of Medical/Disability Insurance
4:1 Pilot to Aircraft Ratio


Airline Transport Pilot License (ATP) – airplane, multi-engine (attach to resume)
5000 hours total flight time
2000 hours Pilot in command - multi engine aircraft
600 hours flight time in the previous 36 months
No accident/incidents/violations
First class medical (attach to resume)
Ability to obtain a FAR Part 139 Bradley International Airport security badge
Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
Ability to obtain operational approval as a crewmember for Washington DC restricted airport access (DASSP)
Ability to freely travel between the US and Canada without restriction
Meets ICAO Annex 1, Chapter 2, paragraph 2.1.10 for aircraft certificated for two crewmembers
