We have an exciting opportunity for a Captain Pilot in our Houston, TX location.
Under general direction, pilots Company aircraft to transport personnel, equipment, and supplies to various locations and conducts flights in accordance with Company policies and procedures and federal regulations.
Relying on advanced experience and judgment, the Captain Pilot is accountable for accomplishing the following responsibilities and has substantial latitude for actions or decisions made without review and acts independently under general direction.
Provide the safest and most efficient transportation as possible. This includes weather and operating decisions in and out of high-volume airports as well as uncontrolled airports.
Pilot aircraft to destination adhering to flight plan and regulation and procedures of federal government, company, and airport.
Maintain a record of time in flight, altitude flown, and total fuel consumed.
Ensure that all passenger needs are met with regard to comfort and safety.
Review and approve direct operational cost of fuel, catering, landing fees, parking fees, and other related fees associated while aircraft is traveling.
Complete pre- and post-flight inspection of aircraft.
Stay current on the status and implementation of programs such as Transportation Securty Administration’s (TSA) Large Aircraft Security Program (LASP) and Safety Management System (SMS) as applied to Tokio Marine HCC’s Flight Department and Aviation EU Emissions Scheme.
Update Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM), International Operations & Procedures Manual, Master Minimum Equipment List, and training records for the contract pilots to ensure all items are documented and required currency items are completed.
Oversee the Co-Pilot and Flight Attendant to ensure they are completing their required duties.
Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
Completion of required training, flying hours, licensing for piloting an aircraft
Minimum of eight years of relevant and progressive experience
BD-700 Type rating required
Possess and have ability to apply advanced knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
Superior organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing business environment
Advanced proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
Overtime hours may be required to fulfill job responsibilities
May require travel outside normal work location
International travel is required
